The best time to visit The Connection (commonly referred to as "Connections" among those who visit frequently) is Saturday night, when the drag show is held. It's the focus of the entire night (or first part, depending on when you leave), where some of Louisville's best performers come out and steal the show. Apart from hosting drag events, people usually aren't shy about filling up the huge dance floor and shaking some tail. The music can become a little bit cliche at some points and follow a house-trance-house pattern, but it's great for anyone who wants an alternative to the bars along Fourth Street.
