Sapporo on Bardstown Road is an upscale, trendy Japanese restaurant that makes impressively crafted and tasty Sushi in clever combinations like the Bardstown Roll spicy crab, asparagus and tempura whitefish topped with a spicy chili sauce or the Top Gun Roll fried crab, asparagus and seared fillet mignon basted with a special sauce. Looking for a Top Gun joke? Sorry, ghost rider, it's not going to happen. Sapporo is a great place to impress a date, but be careful. The wait staff is mostly young, attractive people who could get you ditched if you're caught looking. But you are far too smooth for that, right?
